Hi, everyone! I am a sophomore Chemistry major here at Pitt following a pre-med track pursuing a certificate in Global Health. Recently, I have conducted research in an ophthalmology lab and an organic synthetic chemistry lab. As a member of the Pitt OCT (optical coherence tomography) lab, I explored retinal imaging techniques and machine learning applications in medicine. In the chemistry lab, I worked on a project that involved drug development for castration-resistant prostate cancer. I loved both projects and would be happy to talk more about them! Additionally, I completed the FAR and FER programs through the OUR and received a Summer Undergraduate Research Award. I can elaborate on all these experiences and share these different avenues of pursuing research. I am also a part of the American Medical Student Association and Chi Omega on campus! Feel free to reach out any time!
